About Wood Castle
What does Wood Castle make, and where is it made?
Wood Castle is a family-owned manufacturer of heirloom-quality solid wood furniture. Every piece is built at our factory at 29855 Hwy 34 SW in Albany, Oregon, where Ron Loe has been owner, founder, and president since 1978. We make bedroom and occasional collections for retail partners nationwide, and custom furniture for hotels, resorts, and commercial projects.

Buying for your home

Where can I buy Wood Castle furniture?
We sell our products through national dealers. To find a dealer near you, visit our Where to Buy page.

How soon can I get my furniture?
Availability and delivery timing vary with each retailer's inventory, so please check with your retailer.

Does the furniture come assembled?
Yes. All Wood Castle furniture arrives fully assembled, except beds, which require some assembly.

Woods, finishes & construction

What woods do you use?
We use 100% domestic solid hardwoods: maple, cherry, walnut, ash, and Northern Red Oak. Most of it comes from within 75 miles of our Oregon workshop, and our maple is from the Pacific Northwest. We use about 99% of the wood fiber that comes into our shop.

What finish do you use? Are custom finishes available?
Our collections have a durable pre-catalyzed lacquer finish. Custom finishes are available on request. For hospitality projects, we offer standard and custom stain development through Sherwin-Williams, plus wood and finish samples.

How is Wood Castle furniture built?
We use mortise-and-tenon joinery with reinforced corner blocks, an internal web-frame structure that resists racking and twisting, and drawers with dovetail joinery, reinforced bottoms, and heavy-duty glides. Bedroom pieces also have a cedar-lined bottom drawer.

Care & warranty
What is the warranty?
Wood Castle guarantees its furniture for the lifetime of the original purchaser under normal use. We will repair or replace at no charge any item found to be defective in materials or workmanship. The warranty does not cover misuse, abuse, or non-factory alteration, or items bought at clearance events (such as factory seconds, discontinued or "as is" items, returns, and consignments). Warranty claims start with the retailer where you bought the furniture. See Care & Warranty for full terms.
Â
How should I care for my furniture?
Dust regularly with a damp (not wet) cloth. A mild soap diluted with water helps remove buildup. You can use a light polish such as Howard's Orange Oil now and then. Avoid cleaners with ammonia, bleach, or solvents; wax polishes aren't needed. Keep furniture out of direct sun and away from heating and cooling vents. Use felt pads under lamps, clocks, and TVs. Have a professional repair any dents or scratches, because unprofessional repairs may void the warranty.
Â
Will my furniture change color over time?
Yes, all wood changes color naturally, mostly in the first year. Cherry leaves our factory almost strawberry-blonde and turns a cinnamon-burgundy within a few months. Oregon maple takes on a warm gold tone, and walnut changes slowly. Move objects on the surface now and then so the wood ages evenly.

Hospitality projects
What do you build for hotels and resorts?
We build guest room furniture (beds, nightstands, casegoods), public space furniture (tables, benches, desks), and custom features such as live-edge elements, bar tops, and mirrors. We have the capacity for consistent production across multi-room installations. Past projects include Hallmark Resort in Newport, Chinook Winds Resort in Lincoln City, Boulder Falls Inn in Lebanon, and Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon. We serve hospitality projects in Oregon, Washington, California, and beyond.
Â
How do I request a quote, and how does the process work?
Fill out our Request a Quote form, or call 541-754-9304 or email info@woodcastle.com. Each project starts with a consultation on your goals, timeline, and scope. From there we develop the design (materials, wood species, finishes), make drawings and prototypes for approval, and then schedule production. A project deposit is due when all approvals are complete, and final payment is due on delivery. We confirm completion dates and coordinate delivery three to five weeks in advance.
