Wood Castle pieces are handcrafted from solid hardwoods such as maple, cherry, and walnut, using time-tested joinery designed for strength, repairability, and longevity. Furniture built to last reduces waste and eliminates the need for frequent replacement.

Locally Sourced Domestic Hardwoods

We use 100% domestic solid wood, with the majority sourced within 75 miles of our Oregon workshop. By working closely with regional mills and forestry partners, we support local economies while significantly reducing transportation-related emissions.

Sustainably Managed Forests

Our hardwoods come from responsibly managed Oregon forests that are carefully harvested and continuously replanted. These forests are among the most productive and well-regulated in the world, ensuring long-term environmental balance and forest health.

Thoughtful Use of Materials

We utilize approximately 99% of all wood fiber brought into our shop. Through careful planning, efficient milling, and reuse of offcuts whenever possible, we minimize waste and limit the amount of material sent to landfills.

All Wood Castle furniture is built in Oregon. Local production allows for close oversight of quality, sourcing, and craftsmanship while reducing transportation emissions and supporting skilled local trades.
